Why We Exist
The legal industry doesn’t lack networking events. So why does Chief LegalX exist? Because the conversations that matter most, the ones about real-world AI implementation challenges and candid discussions of what actually works, weren’t happening anywhere else.
Traditional conferences pack thousands into ballrooms. Bar associations focus on compliance. And LinkedIn offers connections without depth.
The Gap We Identified
Legal executives driving innovation needed a different kind of forum:

How It Was Born
Chief LegalX was founded by leaders deeply rooted in legal innovation, in partnership with the Law Innovation Agency. We launched with a clear vision: to create the kind of gathering we ourselves wanted to attend.
Our inaugural collaborations, including the highly successful Future of AI + LegalTech: Unplugged event during SF Tech Week 2025, confirmed this shared hunger. With more than 90 attendees, including CLOs from major enterprises, the event demonstrated the power of bringing the right people into the right conversations.
